Indulgent warning
However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven. —Luke10:20
For God’s workers, the worldly state doesn’t become a snare, nor does sin become a trap, but spiritual indulgence does. For example, follow the current pattern of religion and focus only on spiritual success. Never pursue anything but God’s approval. “Go out to him outside the camp and endure his disgrace.” Jesus commanded his disciples not to rejoice in the success of their ministry, but this is what most of people rejoice most. Our vision is very commercial—how many people thank God on their salvation and sanctification because everything has been done.
The foundation of God’s grace has been laid, and we are working on it. We are not going to save souls, but to make them become disciples. Salvation and sanctification are the work of God’s infinite grace. As his disciples, our job is to make people disciples until they obey God completely. A life wholly restored to God is more precious to God than a hundred men awakened only by the holy spirit. As God’s workers, we must spiritually multiply the lives of our fellow workers, which will be our testimony as God’s workers. Since God has brought us to a higher standard with grace, we have a responsibility to bring others to it.
Unless the worker lives a life like Christ hidden in God, he is bound to become an obnoxious dictator rather than a disciple in the Lord. Many of us are dictators who like to dominate people, run parties, and rule for me. Jesus never did this to us. Whenever the Lord spoke of being a disciple, he always added the word “if”, and he never says “you must” without a mandatory order. Being a disciple is optional. 要 Dear God, I need you in many ways! I praise you for being found. God, let me find you; but I will not find you until you own come.
