There were once two brothers. The first brother wanted to go to the North Pole, while the second wanted to go as far as Northern Ireland. One day, they set out from the city of Oxford, and neither of them reached their destination. But the eldest made it to Northern Ireland, while the second only made it to the northern tip of England.

A man who has a noble purpose in life and a noble purpose in thought will undoubtedly accomplish more than a man who has no purpose at all.

There is a Scottish proverb that goes, "He who holds a gold robe may get a gold sleeve." The achievements of those who aim high will be far from the starting point. Even if your goal is not fully achieved, the effort you put into it will itself serve you well for the rest of your life.
