Overview of application interfac

From <IEEE 802.1AS-2011> Clause 9.1

这里介绍ClockSource entity与ClockMaster entity之间的1个application interface，以及ClockTarget entity与ClockSlave entity之间的4个application interfaces。
ClockSource可作为gptp domain的外部时间源，它可能包含clock或者能访问clock。
ClockTarget代表了通过任意application interfaces使用ClockSlave提供的信息的所有application。

本协议不包括ClockSource如何从clock获取时间，也不包括ClockTarget如何使用来自application interface的信息。

5个application interfaces见下图：

这5个interface分别是：

1. ClockSourceTime interface，向time-aware system提供外部时间。
2. ClockTargetEventCapture interface，被ClockTarget用于向ClockSlave发送signal of event，请求synchronized time。
3. ClockTargetTriggerGenerate interface，被ClockTarget用于向ClockSlave发送synchronized time，请求根据此time返回一个result event。
4. ClockTargetClockGenerator interface，被ClockTarget用于向ClockSlave请求周期的时钟信号。
5. ClockTargetPhaseDiscontinuity interface，被ClockSlave用于向ClockTarget提供phase/frequency discontinuity information。
