It is the time when the candidates of the college entrance examinations give their scores to report their wishes. This is also the time when the graduates are considering their future career. When the candidates of the college entrance examinations think about which college they should go, they need to consider future development. When choosing a city to develop, graduates should think twice about the pressure of life. Many people want to go into a college in developed cities in order to stay there to earn a better life, especially in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Guangzhou. In recent years,Hangzhou’s momentum as a new first-tier city is also very strong. The data can help you understand more before you make a decision.

This is the ten cities with the highest average monthly salary in the 2018 graduate salary report. We can see Guangzhou is just ranked seventh, even lower than the same provincial city Dongguan.Beijing is generally known as the “three high cities” with “high house prices,high consumption, and high salaries”. From the perspective of the average salary levels of graduates in various cities, Beijing’s average salary rate ranks first, with a salary of 7,114 yuan. The average salary in Shanghai follows closely. The salary of Shanghai graduates is 6,662 yuan, which is the second highest. The average salary of Shenzhen graduates is 6,231 yuan, which is the third. The average salaries of graduates in cities which is above 5500 are Hangzhou,Ningbo, Dongguan and Guangzhou. Judging from the overall salary level, the average salary of graduates in the south is higher than in the north.

However, only according to the average monthly salary is too general. The above chart shows the salary distribution of graduates, so that everyone can more accurately position their future monthly salary. From the perspective of salary distribution, 3-5k graduates accounted for the most(31.65%), followed by 5-7k graduates, accounting for 28.76%. 7-9k accounted for 18.39%. 10k or more is Only 7.88%. It can be seen that the salaries of graduates are mainly distributed in the salary segment of 3-5k and 5-7k. Only the salaries of some special professionals are relatively high.

So what kind of graduates can climb to the top of the monthly salary pyramid? The following two tables provide some references for candidates who want to go to first-tier cities. The data is from the100 colleges with the highest average starting salaries in 2015. Only top universities in Beijing, Shanghai,Hangzhou, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou were selected for comparison.

If you want to get a high income in the future, youstill need to go into the top university.

Of the 100 universities and colleges on the list, only 14 are Erben! This means that if you want to have a high salary in the future, you must still choose Yiben or maybe 211 and 985 when you apply for university. The top ten in the Top 100 list are Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Peking University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Foreign Affairs University, Shanghai International Studies University, Tongji University, Beijing Foreign Studies University and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. These are all famous Chinese schools.

If your scores don’t allow you to enter a top college, then you should go to the developed cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen to study.

There are 100 universities in 20 cities,and 68 universities are located in the first-tier cities. Among them, there are 40 colleges and universities in Beijing, 21 universities in Shanghai, 6 in Guangzhou, and 1 in Shenzhen.

This figure shows the average monthly per capita rents for these five first-tier cities. In terms of specific cities, in June 2017, there were 3 cities whose per capita housing rent was higher than 2,000 yuan/month,namely Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen. In other words, if three people in these cities share the rent of a three-bedroom house, it must be at least 6,000 yuan. In Beijing, this figure exceeds 8,000 yuan. Among them, the highest in Beijing is 2,748 yuan/month, which is over 500 yuan more than the second largest in Shanghai.However, as we all know, the salary in high-priced cities should also be relatively high. Therefore, the following shows the ratio of the average monthly rent of the first-tier cities to the average monthly salary of graduates and the average monthly rent per person.

It can be seen that with the increase of salary, compared with the salary for the graduates who have started out, the increasement in proportion of rent to monthly salary is basically the same in major cities. The proportion of rents in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen is significantly higher than thatin Hangzhou and Guangzhou.

The above is the data visualization of the issues people concerning about. It is difficult to visualize this type of data in all the universities in all regions. Therefore, the scope of the applicable audience is relatively restricted.
