This book was written by Eric Carle, it was the first time I read this book, so I was curious about it.

Started from the cover, I could see a mother kangaroo and a baby kangaroo for sure, they were liked walking on the grass happily. Started from the front page, we could see the colors mixed with yellow、blue、black. The 1st page read “Yes! A kangaroo has mother. Just like me and you. Does a lion have a mother, too?” so where was the lion? The answer was on the next page. “Yes! A lion has mother. Just like me and you. Does a giraffe have a mother, too?” when I turned to the next page, “Yes! A giraffe has a mother. Just like me and you. Does a penguin have a mother, too?” we can see the love among every page’s mother and baby. The next page came to “Yes! A penguin has a mother. Just like me and you. Does a swan have mother, too?”. “Yes! A swan has a mother. Just like me and you. Does a fox have a mother, too?” when I read this book till the end, this book was telling the love among the animals, just like our human.

By reading this pic book, our kids and us could learn the animals, the colors, the numbers, and most of all, the love. Every time I read this book, I also had the feeling about the abstract colors, hard to explain that, maybe that was the art would grow in kid’s heart. By the repetition, we can not only practice the sentences, and can also remember the new words. At last, the book came to an perfect ending “YES YES! Of course they do. Animal mothers love their babies, just as yours loves you”. I thought this may arouse the love feeling for the children, and help the children protect the lives of the animals ever since they were a little kid. That’s so precious.
