A letter to the President

Dear Trump,

Hello, I am a teen girl and really appreciate that you can hear my voice in this way. You also frequently appears in Chinese’ talks. At the other side, I have learnt a lot about how a president works as a leader of the executive branch in my American Government class. I was thoughtfully and inspired by my classmates. All of them have their unique ideas about their roles in the government. Thus, as you see, now I am not only writing an assignment for this class, but also something I truly want to change.

In additionally, I want to express my ideas about abortion here. I heard you picked an anti-abortion advocate to lead federal family planning programs recently which also became a domestic hot topic. I want to write about something exactly happen on teenage mothers, something happen nearby me. First of all, before we decide whether it’s right or wrong, we must ask ourselves: why these young ladies choose abortion after pregnancy? I believe most of these women who want to stop pregnant have a understandable reason.

The first and the most dominanting reason is accidentally pregnancy. Some surveys show, 71% teenagers don’t  have any protection. Secondly, they don’t have economic strength to raise the kids, even themselves need financial support of their parents. Thirdly, the social opinions have bias to the teenage mother.

On the other hand, if they don't want to raise that baby, they will try their best to get abortion. Even if they born their babies, they won't want to be responsible for babies' life. That will causes a lot of children grow up without love.

Women have right to choose weather they keep their babies or not. The anti-abortion law cannot help babies alive, but let them get into trouble and adversity. At the same time, society should not add the morality on the abortion, especially the president should not be a leader of this. It’s really unfair for these innocent women.

It’s my words about this issue and I hope you can think about it, then, deal with it. Thanks for your hearing my voice. And I am looking forward to your reply.
