1. negligence

If someone is guilty of negligence, they have failed to do something which they ought to do.

e.g. The soldiers were ordered to appear before a disciplinary council on charges of negligence.

2. ostensible 

'ostensible' is used to describe something that seems to be true or is officially stated to be true,but about which you or other people have doubts.

e.g. The ostensible purpose of these meetings was to gather information on financial strategies.

3. genial 

someone who is genial is kind and friendly.

e.g. He was a warm-hearted friend and genial host.
