题目

Write about manners and etiquette for a dinner party or  other social occasion in your country. If you like, you can imagine that you  are giving advice to a foreign visitor. What is expected of people? What is  polite and impolite?

1. Plural (PL): you wrote, "and build up firm  friendship". You're building more than one friendship, so you should use  the plural form. You should write, "and build up firm friendships".  2. Word Choice (WC): You wrote, "is the first thing your need." You  should use the simple pronoun here, you don't need to use the possessive. You  should write, "is the first thing you need."

Etiquette is complicated; it varies widely among different  cultures and nations. However, nobody can afford to ignore it, because only  with proper etiquette you may tell others that you are a well-nurtured,  thoughtful and sociable person. To knit your own social network and build up  firm friendships, proper etiquette is the first thing you need. Even though  the Chinese customs are quite intricate, it's not difficult to learn some  useful rules of etiquette. Let me take a wedding banquet as an example. You  are invited to the party and decide to go. Then, keep my advice in mind. It’s  not appropriate to address people by their first name – unless you know them  very well. Always shake hands with normal friends and someone you meet the  first time. Only when very close same-sex friends who you have not seen for a  fairly long time, you many hug each other slightly. We don’t eat any food  with our hands, not even bread. We always use cutlery. If you are not good at  chopsticks, you can ask for spoons. Don’t forget to bring your wedding  present. Nowadays, the most fashionable present is a lucky pack (a red  envelope with money in%% it), especially for a wedding ceremony. Only very  close friends of the new couple may bring a small gift attached with the  lucky pack. Compliment to the new couple and their parents with formal words.  For shaking hands, you should wait for hosts, elderly or respectable person  stretching out hand first. A sweet nod greeting to everyone you meet  unexpectedly or even just by eye contact. Mingle with other guests sitting at  the table! Chat over topics bringing positive thinking. When you are leaving,  you are to say good bye to hosts, leaving your best wishes for the new couple  and waving good bye to everybody on the occasion.
