3. Interview.

Great Challenges Facing International Applicants and How can you stand out.

1. 30s CV scanning.
   Demonstrate you passion (commitment and contributions/ quantify your impact).
2. PS first paragraph.
   Be remarkable, memorable, thought-provoking, creative, daring.
   Example: As I stood at the top of mountain Kilimanjaro, the highest point of Africa, looking out across the great plains of Tanzania, I smiled on a summer well-spent.
3. Strong recommendation.
   Develop a relationship with an even junior professor who can speak to your character, work ethic, contributions, passion, aims and aspirations.
