谈笑九天上，

We talk and laugh in the empyrean ，

来往月球车。

And the lunar rover runs on the moon surface.

牵牛桥上迎接，

We are greeted by Cowherd on the bridge,

鼓乐有莲蛙。

Lotus Frog playing music.

任我乘风穿雨，

We ride the wind through the rains

走访玉楼琼阁，

Visiting the Moon Palace

织女绣霓霞。

Girl Weaver embroidering rosy clouds.

喜见嫦娥舞，

Chang’e the Moon Goddess dances

娇影美如花。 

Her good figure like flowers.   

   

坐玉椅，

Seated in the jade chair,

吹玉笛，

Playing the jade flute,

食银虾。

And eating silver shrimps.

吴刚何在?

Where is Wu Gang?

殷勤捧出桂花茶。

He serves us osmanthus tea.

细听文君弹曲，

We enjoy Wenjun’s music

阅看相如歌赋，

And read Xiangru’s verses,

天上自由家。

Our home of freedom in the heavens.

念故人千里，

Though our old friends are thousands of miles away,

明月共天涯。

We can share in the bright moon.
