Guess how many smiles did I catch during the 2-hour meeting tonight?
You might be amazed by the number: at least 50!!!
I also noticed that FOUR of us love smiling very much. They are Patrick, Leon, Serena and Tiger. Thank you for bringing warmth to the meeting.

Throughout the two hours, I found out that smiles occurred most frequently in the following situation.
First, etiquette. When we hear “welcome our first speaker…” or “back to toastmaster”, we subconsciously smiled and applauded.
**Second, humor. **When we use metaphors (such as “Ah King/Queen” for person who had most ems and ahs during the speech), or unexpected stories or role plays (handsome Patrick asked the mirror “who is the most beautiful one in his family”; or a girl suddenly put on a manly cap), we couldn’t help but smiling.
Third, embarrassment. The TM and speaker might feel embarrass when any of them lose connection due to unskilled operation or unsteady network. A smile can ease the embarrassment and keep the meeting going on.
Last and most importantly, happiness. When our old friends Grant and Ally entered into the meeting room, we smiled and waved to them out of happiness and surprise.

Thank you all for contributing to such a warm and happy meeting online. Back to Toastmaster.
