Stop and smell the roses

In my last post, I mentioned the English idiom "wake up and smell the coffee".
Here I would like to share another one that also uses the verb smell:

在我的上一文，我提到 wake up and smell the coffee 这个英文习语。
这里我要再分享另一个也同样用 smell 这个动词的：

Stop and smell the roses.
停下来嗅嗅玫瑰花。

This idiom means we should take a break from our busy schedules to appreciate the good things in life.

这个习语意思是说我们应该在忙碌的日程里稍停，欣赏生活里美好的事。

That said, I have to get back to work now -- I have too often stopped to smell the roses!

话说到此，我必须回去继续工作了 -- 我也太常停下来嗅玫瑰了！
