名词的种类

今日目标：掌握7个小知识点

单一名词和合成名词 country, people, classroom, fire-alarm, fire station, bookcase, make-up, living-room, working day

普通和专有名词 专有名词主要是人名、地名等：Asia, Indians, English, May. 普通名词又分为： 个体名词 sisters, rooms, dogs

集体名词 army, crew, media, youth

单复同行的情况：The government is planing to build a dam. The government are discussing the proposal. An army of volunteers/ a company of tourists 物质名词 meat, iron, fuel, 一般来说物质名词不可数，但也有可数的情况 当前面加A..of的定语时可以使用；a grain of sand, a length of cloth, a bottle of brandy.

抽象名词：当少数抽象名词用作个体名词时，也就可数了。 He was chopping wood./ They entered a wood. Absence, age, capacity 多数情况下这类名词用单数形式，并不加任何冠词。 What fun we had. I had much respect for him.

可数名词与不可数名词:They haven’t much furniture. 他们没有多少家具。 We are to standardize equipment in factories.我们将使工厂设备标准化。 An article of furniture/ a piece of equipment. 有一些对词，一个可数一个不可数 A poem/ poetry A machine/ machinery
