The Letter of Resignation

Dear Mr. Zhou,

I appreciate the opportunity of working here during this one year as a journalist for the Guangming Daily, and particularly your assistance all the time. I learned a lot from the job, however, I’m writing to formally give notice of my resignation from my present position due to my personal reasons.

As a young man whose primary interest is in secondary education rather than reporter, I find my work now doesn’t accord closely with my dream. Therefore, I decided to vacate this job and find another one that better matches my educational background and ideals.

Please accept my faithfully apologies for any inconvenience my leaving may cause. I will do my utmost to assist in the hand-over process.
