1.ascribe

①if you ascribe an event or condition to a paticular cause,you say or consider that it was caused by that thing.

exp:An autopsy eventually accribed the baby's death to sudden infant death syndrome

②If you ascribe a quality to someome,you consider that they possesss it.

exp:We do not ascribe a superior wisdom to government or the state.

2.coincide

①If one event coincides with another,they happen at the same time

exp:The exhibition coincedes with 50th anniversary of his death.

②If the ideas or interests of two or more people coincide,they are the same.

exp:The kid's view on life don't always coincide,but they're not afraid of voicing their opinions.

3.overwhelm

①if you are overwhelmed by a feeling or event,it affects you very strongly,and you do not know how to deal with it.

exp:He was overwhelmed by a longing for times past.

②If a group of people overwhelm a place or another group,they gain complete control or victory over them.

exp:It was clear that one massive Allied offensive would overwhelm the weakened enemy.

4.comply

If someone or something complies with an order or set of rules,they do what is required or expected.

exp:the commander said that the army would comply with the ceasefire.

5.conspicuous

①If someone or something is conspicuous,people can see or notice them very easily.

exp:Most people don't want to be too conspicuous.

6.endeavour

①If you endeavour to do something,you try very hard to do it.

exp:They are endeavouring to protect trade union rights

②An endeavour is an attempt to do something,especially something new or origanl

exp:The company's creatice endeavours are thriving.

7.homogeneous

Homegeneous is used to describe a group or thing which has member or parts that are all the same.

exp:The unemployed are not a homegeneous group.

8.immerse

①If you immerse yourself in something that you are doing,you become completely involved in it.

exp:Their commitments do not permit them to immerse themselves in current affairs as fully as they might wish.

②If something is immersed in a liquild,someone puts it into the liquid so that it is compleletly covered.

exp:The electrodes are immersed in liquild.

9.indulge

①If you are indulge in something or if you indulge yourself,you allow yourself to have or do something that you know you will enjoy

exp:Only rarely will she indulge in a glass of wine.

②If you indulge someone,you let them have or do what they want,even if this is not good for them.

expL:He did not agree with indulging children.

10.retrieve

①If you retrieve something,you get it back from the place where you left it.

exp:The man were trying to retrieve weapons left when the army abandoned the island.

②If you manage to retrieve a situation,you succeed in bringing it back into a more acceptable state.

exp:He,the one man who could retrieve that situation,might recive the call.

③To retrieve information from a computer or from your memory means to get it back.

exp:Computer can instantly retrieve millions of information bits.
