实用的隐修哲学即是炼金学。隐修哲学本质上就是炼金学。意思是，越能恢复真实人性的人，越能以人的特质展现神性，体现上帝的形象与样式。
Practical Hermeticism is alchemy. The ideal of Hermeticism is essentially and fundamentally the alchemical ideal. This means to say: the more one becomes truly human, the more one manifests the divine element underlaying human nature, which is the “image and likeness of God”.
