They say the lion and the lizard keep

The courts where Jamshyd gloried and drank deep:

And Bahram, that great Hunter - the Wild Ass

Stamps o'er his Head, but cannot break his sleep.

他们说那雄狮蜥蜴所居之场

曾是蒋牟西授勋酩酊之地：

以及巴朗牟，猎人之帝——

现今野驴践踏于其头顶，也不能打破他的深梦。

注释：巴朗牟（Bahrám）：三世纪至七世纪间 Sassanina dae Sassanian 王朝之君主，好色，造七城以象七天，涂以七色，以美女七人居之，谈七种之故事。（摘自郭沫若译注《鲁拜集》）
