求对称式的值

方程式: ax^2 + bx + c = 0

  1. 一元二次方程根的判别式:
    \triangle = b^2 - 4ac
  2. 一元二次方程根于系数的关系
    x_1+x_2 = -\frac{b}{a}
    x_1 x_2 = \frac{c}{a}

例题:
2x^2 + 6x + 3 = 0的两个根分别是 x_1,x_2,不解方程求以下的值
求:

  1. (x_1+1)(x_2+1) =
  2. \frac{1}{x_1} + \frac{1}{x_2} =
  3. x_1^2- x_1x_2 + x_2^2 =

求解:
x_1+x_2=-\frac{b}{a} = - \frac{6}{2} = -3
x_1 x_2 = \frac{c}{a} = \frac{3}{2} = 1.5

  1. (x_1+1)(x_2+1) = x_1+x_2 +x_1x_2+1
    = -3 + 1.5 + 1 = -0.5
  2. \frac{1}{x_1} + \frac{1}{x_2} = \frac{x_1+x_2}{x_1x_2} = \frac{-3}{1.5} = -2
  3. x_1^2- x_1x_2 + x_2^2 = x_1^2+ 2x_1x_2 + x_2^2 - 3x_1x_2
    = (x_1+x_2)^2 - 3x_1x_2
    = (-3)^2 - 3 * 1.5 = 9 - 4.5 = 4.5
