The bigger aim in life is joy, contentment, and meaningful living. Almost all your endeavours, rituals, routines, and habits should serve your significant purpose — bringing out the best in you in real-time.
One way to embrace this mindset is by separating your “many unimportant” tasks, expectations and responsibilities from the “vital few” life-changing tasks that make you a better human.
Make it a goal.
Identify what is truly important to you, focus your efforts on those areas and let go of distractions and trivial matters.
Don’t let external factors dictate your happiness or sense of self-worth.
We often place a lot of importance on what others think of us or on society’s definition of success, but these things do not ultimately define our happiness.
Instead, we should focus on cultivating our internal sense of fulfilment and happiness, which can come from meaningful relationships, personal growth, and a sense of purpose.
“You have reached the pinnacle of success as soon as you become uninterested in money, compliments, or publicity,” Thomas Wolfe observed.
The unimportance of almost everything is a call to live intentionally and let go of the things that don’t contribute to your overall wellbeing and happiness.
