你有证据（prob）么？

上一篇我们认识了犯罪词根crim，该词根也很委屈，凭什么说我是犯罪词根呢？拿出证据来啊！！今天，我们就请来了证据词根啦。

词根prob: Comes from the Latin words for "prove or proof" and "honesty or integrity" 该词根来自拉丁语，意为“证据，证明”或者“正直，诚实”

1. probe: n. a slender  instrument used especially for exploration :探头，探测器（都是为了寻找证据）

vt: a tentative exploratory advance or survey :探索，调查（也是为了寻找证据）

例: The more they probed into his background, the more inflamed their suspicions would become

他们越调查他的背景，疑团就越多。

2. prove: vt: establish the validity of something, as by an example, explanation or experiment: 证明，证实。

3. provable: capable of being demonstrated or proved: 可证明的，可证实的。

There is now a direct, provable link between an organization's flexibility and business performance.

例：现在有证据证明组织的灵活性与商业性能之间存在着直接的联系。

4. probate: the judicial determination of the validity of a will: n/vt 遗嘱检验

例：Probate cases can go on for two years ormore.

遗嘱认证案可能要持续两年或者更长时间。

5. reprobate: A person of thoroughly bad character. n.道德败坏的人，恶棍（re反+prob正直+ate人：不正直的人）

例：The reprobate and Satan will suffer eternal punishment in hell.

道德败坏之人和撒但会在地狱受到永恒的刑罚。

6. probity: Absolute honesty and uprightness. 正直，诚实。

例：Guo Jing is a man of probity 郭靖是一个正直之人。

7. approbation: an act of approving formally or officially. n.认可; 赞许; 批准; 许可 （较正式）

例：We have not yet received the approbation of the Minister for carrying out the plan.

我们尚未得到部长的批准，让我们实施该项计划。
