原文:

古之所以贵此道者何？不曰：求以得，有罪以免邪？故为天下贵。

译文:

古人为什么认为道是最尊贵的呢？不说求就可以得到，有罪可以免除吗？所以是天下最尊贵的。

我的翻译:

Why do the ancients think that Dao is the

most honorable？

Because you can get it when you ask

for it and you can be exempted from

guilt.

So it is the most noble in the world.
