A Great Day at TIP
It was really a great day. From morning till evening I was busy preparing the most important things at TIP--the show of an English class and the ten-minute English speech.
After I got up in the morning, I reviewed the new words again, which will be taught at the English class show. I prepared five questions for ten groups to discuss, just making sure everybody can participate in this activity. I read my speech paper for several times.
Then came the exciting moment. We started our performance at 8:00 sharp. All my classmates really did good job and we all behaved so excellently. We used what we have learned at TIP in our teaching to make our class more interesting and more attractive. My classmates are always very active and creative, funny and humorous, especially of the boys. I am so proud of being a member of Class A! We are awesome! Our facilitator Kathy told me she felt proud of us too.
Both of my tasks were arranged in the afternoon. I tried my best to keep the things going well.
I prepared a long speech. When I was doing my speech, I saw our Facilitator Yu Lin gave me an one-minute-left signal, I had to cut off some parts of my speech and ended it in a hurry. If I had more time, maybe I would have given a better speech.
I should take pride in myself, because I have tried my best. I should be grateful for myself for my diligence and my perseverance. I think I am the person who makes my class different! I set a good example for them in my fifties. I am the person who makes difference for my friends from other classes like Selina in Class B, Mary in Class F and Wendy in Class E. I encouraged them and helped them with their pronunciation.
After I finished my speech, Abby, a most lovely girl from Yunnan province came to me and told me she really appreciated my speech. My colleague, Bridget, also told me my speech was excellent except for the mistaking of he and she. At the dinner time, our facilitator Yu Lin also spoke highly of my speech.
Here I should thank my leaders of our school to give us such good opportunities to attend the English training; I'm also thankful for TIP to create such a wonderful English only environment and teach us so many useful and practical skills, activities, teaching methods and all the good things for our life; I should be thankful for my classmates, they encouraged me to move on with their enthusiasm, diligence, courage and creativity.
Finally I should thank my dear husband, without his support, I could not be here to have this training!
Most of all, thanks to this great day!
