It pays off to raise cats

Today my friends and I were talking about our various feline friends. Silvery Cuihua has been very weak lately. Snow White almost lost his life from fear of small children. Xiangxiang once accidentally fell from the 9th floor to the ground. Heihei has a sensitive stomach. Sometimes cats vomit, have diarrhoea or suffer from skin diseases.

To protect my cats, I feed them every day with vitamin tablets for cats, high-quality meat and croquettes from the USA. I also have to prepare delicious cat snacks to satisfy their ravenous appetite. Besides, my daily task is to groom each cat thoroughly and massage them from time to time. In a word, it is not easy to raise cats. However, once raising cats becomes a routine, I no longer notice how tedious it is to take care of them. Instead, all I feel is the love they give me.

Whenever I come home, Heihei is waiting for me at the door and walks around my feet to greet me cheerfully and warmly. When I am at home, the two cats follow me everywhere. Xiangxiang, in particular, never takes her eyes off me. When I work in front of the desk, Xiangxiang patiently accompanies me, staying quietly and patiently by my side. They do not bother me unless they are hungry. 

I used to shut them off on the balcony while sleeping at night. But since my mother-in-law moved in with us, my cats stay with me in the bedroom at night because, for one thing, it's too hot to keep them cooped up on the balcony without air conditioning, and for another, my mother-in-law can not stand Xiangxiang's constant begging to come to me.

I always thought the cats would stay on my bed while I sleep, which is not hygienic and could disturb my sleep. To my surprise, Xiangxiang only says good night to me immediately when I go to bed. After I fall asleep, she leaves my bed and stays on the windowsill. Neither cat sleeps on the bed with me.

My cats give me companionship, full attention, loyalty, and above all, the slightest disturbance. If that is not true love, what is? For me, raising cats has been worth the effort.
