1 Translation-Grammar method

Less translation and grammar while speaking or reading English. Try to understand the text through English not Chinese for paying  too much attention to translation and grammar limits your understanding and reading speed.

2 Why it is difficult to read in English?

We do not have enough input in our daily life and it is hard for us to read all in English since we have read in Chinese for over 20 years. However, we have to break that cycle and it is possible for us to do that.

Follow 20-80 principle.

Pick up a propriate reading material ,in which 80%words are familiar to you and you can guess the meaning of the rest words from the context,for yourself and stick to it, which is also beneficial to your vocabulary building.

3 Why you cannot build your vocabulary efficiently?

For me, I just passively receive the words for examination not really for real daily use. So , even I read a lot from words books, I still cannot remember words efficiently.

Words are symbols of ideas.

Read the material you pick for yourself and guess the meaning of the words you do not know, then check them after reading. The premise is that you should read more to remember the words in different contexts. Gradually, you will master them.

4 Why you still cannot communicate in English after taking so many English classes?

Practice makes perfect! Speak English ASAP in your daily life.
