As we all known, winner takes all. It is no doubt that winner who exert himself to win should have the attentions that commensurate to his efforts he has devoted. However, the one who is not a winner should not be considered as a loser. They have also committed to take part in the battle of life, they have gained something beyond the title, such as experience, the perseverance and the resilience.

People should pay emphasis on winning because of that makes competition more meaningful and will push the partipants to trascend their limit and perform better. When people striking to win the contests, they tend to work harder enough to make it happen. When I was take part in English writing contest, every cells and every blood was animated and I knew it was my desire for winning that makes me more envigorated to perform better. Thus, place emphasis on winning has its reason in it.

However, the one who fail to win the contest but perform equally well should not be considered as a loser. The reasons for them to lose are complicated, but if they have great works, they should be awarded and paid repsect to. For example, in the poem's field, as we all know, only a few poets can be called great and well-known, but we have millions of Tang poem and not every brilliant poem comes from the well-known poet, such as Libai or Dufu. The unknown who strive himself too hard to come uo a remarkable poem also can be paid respect to.

Besides, the one who lose in one contest can be winner in another. The one who lose will gain more experience and this life experience can add to their "the tank of wisdom" and help them to be more perseverent and more resilient when they deal with difficulities and obstacles in the future. Take Sudongpo, a great Ci poet for example, his ups and downs inthe political field assists him to explore other field, like being a gourmat, being a Ci writer, being an edicator. His lose in the political field helps him look into his heart and make a contribution to China's literary field.

In short, winning should be placed emphasis on, but not winning also contributes to participants' life journey and should not be neglected.

(题目: From talent contests to the Olympics to the Nobel and Pulitzer prizes, we constantly seek to reward those who are "number one". This emphasis on recognizing the winner creates the impression that other competitors, despite working hard and well, have lost. In many cases, however, the difference between the winner and the losers is slight. The wrong person may even be selected as the winner. Awards and prizes merely distracts us from valuable qualities possessed by others besides the winner. Do people place too much emphasis on winning? )
