"ten to one"真不是“从10到1”

在做俚语翻译时，英文翻译成中文不能按字面意思来直译，不然句子翻译出来难免会闹出笑话来。

皮卡丘今天举的例子就是：

Ten to one 十有八九，很有可能

one two three……从一数到十可以说是英语学习基础中的基础。在学会26个英文字母之前，大多人对这10个数字就已经是倒背如流了。

“ten to one”从表面上来看是从10到1，但若要真的这样翻，那就让人笑掉大牙了。

ten to one = something very likely，可以翻译成“很有可能”，或是“十有八九”。

例句：

①Ten to one the teacher made a mistake.

很可能老师犯了一个错误。

②No one knows for sure how they're going to deal with this problem, but ten to one it's I who have to be responsible.

没有人确定他们将如何处理这个问题，但很有可能我会对此负责。

PS：上面例句有个（②It's I....是我）这表达是没问题滴！
