周日的午后，空气昏沉
风的鼻息均匀起来
棕榈树微摇。静止
鸟儿噤声，虫子停止飞舞
阳光躺卧在叶面上
一切主义，思想
闭目安眠
如风。千次往返
卧室与办公室间五英里
我忽然想成为窗外那棕榈树
旁边的一棵。静静
静静地站在这周日的午后
面儿朝上。仿佛暗夜
仿佛黎明

Sunday afternoon, the air is drowsy
The breathing of wind becomes even
Palm trees gently sway, and pause
Birds cease chirping, bugs stop flying
Bright sunlight naps on the leaves
All the isms and ideologies
Shut into sleep
Like wind, back and forth thousands of times
In the five miles between the bedroom and office
I suddenly want to become a palm tree
Next to the one outside the window
Standing very very quietly in this Sunday afternoon
Facing up, like dark night
Like dawn
