怎样设置优先级


When everything you have to do seems important, figuring it out where to begin can be difficult. Here are some suggestions to help you evaluate and prioritize your work.
当你觉得你要做的每一件事都看起来很重要时,找出从哪里着手是有难度的。下面是一些能帮助你评估你工作优先级的一些建议。

List your tasks: Before you prioritize your work, make a list of your tasks for the day or week. This lets you see what you need to do and determine your priorities. And it helps you keep track of your work.
列出你的任务清单:在你对工作设置优先级之前,对你每天或者每个星期的任务列一个表。这个表会让你看到你需要做些什么,让你设置优先级。而且它可以帮助你记录你的工作。

Determine their urgency: Urgent tasks are tasks that must be done soon or even immediately. If something is due by the end of the day, it is likely to be urgent. But If you have a week to finish it, it will be a lower priority.
确定任务的紧迫性:紧急的任务是一些必须尽快或者立即做的事。如果某件事是今天之前到期,它可能是紧急的。但是如果你有一个星期去完成它,那它就是一个低优先级的事情。

Determine their importance: Important tasks are valuable activities that will greatly influence your future. You should schedule time for important tasks every day, especially when you feel most productive. Important tasks usually take a longer time to complete than urgent tasks. Failing to complete important tasks could prevent you from reaching your long term goals.
确定任务的重要性:重要的任务是对你的前程有重要影响的有价值的活动。你应该每天为重要的任务安排时间,特别是你觉得你最高产的时候。重要的任务通常比紧急的任务要花更多的时间。没有完成重要的任务会阻止你达到你的长期目标。

Estimate time needed: Estimate how long it will take to complete each task. Splitting up a large assignment into smaller tasks can make it easier to estimate. If you estimate that something will take a long time to complete, you should start it soon. Otherwise, you may not have enough time.
估计需要的时间:估计每个任务要花多久去完成。把一个大的任务分离成更小的任务,会让评估更容易。如果你预估某件事会花很长时间去完成,你应该尽快开始。否则,你可能没有足够的时间。

2.预估时间有感,很多时候开发预估时间的时候是不准的,一个原因是任务粒度不够细,一个原因是不确定性因素太多,比如需求的不确定性、临时任务等等。

People feel most productive at different times. I remember when I worked in Penguin, I felt tired almost every day. The work I had to do was both important and urgent. Even if I split up the large assignment into smaller tasks, I could not estimate the time needed accurately because there were many uncertain factors, which came from the work itself. So I had to work overtime every day. To reach my long term goal, the highest priority is to free up my time so I can schedule time to improve my skills which greatly influence my future.
