人所系心的现世的希望易灰，

The Worldly Hope men set their Hearts upon

Turns Ashes—or it prospers; and anon,

Like Snow upon the Desert's dusty Face,

Lighting a little hour or two—is gone.

The Courts where Jamshyd gloried and drank deep:

And Bahrám, that great Hunter—the Wild Ass

Stamps o'er his Head, but cannot break his Sleep.

[注释]巴朗牟（Bahrám）：三世纪至七世纪间Sassanina dae Sassanian王朝之君主，好色，造七城以象七天，涂以七色，以美女七人居之，谈七种之故事。此处把渔色之意用成田猎去了。
