What is the next step?
Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them. ---John13:17
If you do not cut the cables, God will break them by the storm and send you out. Give all to God, and go forth in the fury of his will, and your eyes shall be opened. If you believe in Jesus, do not always stay in a peaceful harbor, full of joy, tied by the ropes. You must come out of the harbor and go into the depths of God and explore by yourself, so that you can know right from wrong by the light of the spirit.
If you do the right thing, you will know more immediately. Ask yourself where your spirituality has stopped. Then you will find that you did not do something that you should have been done because you felt there was no call to do it. Now you have no sense or discrimination. At a critical juncture, your spirit is divided and cannot be reined in. It is dangerous not to continue to seek knowledge.
False obedience is the creation of the self-sacrifice, mistaking the enthusiasm for the discrimination. It is much easier to sacrifice yourself than to accomplish spiritual tasks, which is what Romans 12:1-2 tells. It’s better to test God’s will and fulfill his will in you than to do a great act of self-sacrifice. “To obey is better than to sacrifice.” When God wants to do something on you that hasn’t been done yet, look back what you used to hear about God. “If you could do…you know…”
Dear God, my thoughts are vague about people. Be their strong castle, for no one seems to notice or care about them. Let them be free from the oppression of their enemies, and may you keep them because of their loyalty to you. God, may you take on the matter with your great power.
