1. trek 

trek做动词：

We spent the day trekking through forests and over mountains.

白天我们穿过丛林，翻山越岭。

I trekked (= walked a long and tiring distance) all the way into town to meet him and he didn't even turn up.

我大老远好不容易进城来看他，他却连面都不露一下。

trek作名词：

We did an eight-hour trek yesterday.

2. drop off

3. heat 

heat的熟词僻意：

预赛，小组赛

英语释义：

a less important race or competition in which it is decided who will compete in the final event

heat短语：

盛怒之下，一时激动

put the heat on sb 

劝说（某人）；给（某人）施加压力

the heat is on 

开始一段忙碌（又有压力）的日子

if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen

4. asexual 

a-这个前缀表示“非、无”。

asexual 无性的

I'm a completely apolitical man.

我是个对政治完全不感兴趣的人。
