There is little record about Mo Tzu's life, whose family name is Mo and personal name Ti. He was the founder of the Mohist school after his name. And the main reference of his thought is the book bearing his name, the Mo-Tzu. Though both having high reputation in ancient times, Mo Tzu and Confucius had interesting difference. Confucius was the rationalizer and justifier of the traditions, in reverse, Mo Tzu was its critic.
