学习《诗经》译文（二）

1.《国风•周南》第二篇《葛覃》：

葛之覃兮，施于中谷，维叶萋萋。黄鸟于飞，集于灌木，其鸣喈喈。
葛之覃兮，施于中谷，维叶莫莫。是刈是濩，为絺为绤，服之无斁。
言告师氏，言告言归。薄污我私，薄浣我衣。害浣害否，归宁父母。

The vines outspread and trail.

In the midst of the vale

Their leaves grow lush on soil

So good to cut and boil

And make cloth coarse or fine

Who weaves it likes the vine.

I tell Mother-in-law

Soon I will homeward go

I'll wash my undershirt

And rinse my outskirt

My dress cleaned ,I'll appear

Before my parents dear

2.《国风•周南》第六篇 《桃夭》：

桃之夭夭，灼灼其华。之子于归，宜其室家。
桃之夭夭，有蕡其实。之子于归，宜其家室。
桃之夭夭，其叶蓁蓁。之子于归，宜其家人。

The peach tree beams so red.

How brilliant are its flowers!

The maiden's getting wed.

Good for the nuptial bowers.

How abundant its fruit!

Good as family's root.

Its leaves are manifold.
