雅思口语
Describe a person who made you laugh happily when you were a child
You should say:
Who this person is
What this person did to make you laugh
Why this person made you laugh
And how you felt about it
I’d like to talk about a neighbour, Frank, who I grew up with.
He was from the same estate where I spent most of my childhood. Our parents worked in the same office and we started our primary school in the same year, so naturally we spent a great deal of time together.
I gotta tell you, he was hilarious. I remember one time, we were gonna have our final exam in 3 days. Frank told me to put a book under my pillow every night before I went to bed. He said, ‘Trust me, you can actually absorb knowledge through the pillow while you’re sleeping.’ I was like, if you believe that, you’d believe anything. And before the exam, he showed me the notes he’d prepared on his laps. He genuinely wrote most of the useful notes on the laps and intended to wear a pair of shorts which could be flipped over in order for him to check the notes during the exam. Then the funniest thing happened, it was really hot that afternoon. The notes faded and there were only some illegible patterns because of his sweat. After he told me the story, he even had the audacity to say something like, ‘It’s just I don’t want to cheat in an exam. What a horrible thing to do!’
Yeah, that’s basically him. Nowadays we don’t live in the same part of town so we don’t see each other that often. But only thinking about these experiences makes me laugh out loud.
