This Summer, 2017
Being in a country with endless hot weather, I found it confusing when I mentioned summer to others. They would probably ask me back, what do you mean by summer?
As far as I remember, summer always begins in June, with the temperature getting higher and higher. The breeze comes with heat that can almost melt everything. I would never stop sweating. And the only peace I could find is when I'm in a room with air con.
Let's start with June, although it was just like any other day in the year.
June: one day in town
I stay in west, and there was a day when I went to east side, casino.
I bought the tokens, but I went to some machine that didn't need them. I placed two $50 notes in it, and began. I didn't draw the money when I won 50 bucks. In the end, I lost 75. Till now I still don't know what was the game called. It was a ball rolling in a wheel and the wheel was spinning.
Coming out from the casino, I went to a museum just beside it. There was a free airing Spirited Away, a famous Japanese anime by Hayao Miyazaki. I watched it again. It was the English version, while i still preferred to listen to Japanese and look at subtitles. Haha.
July and August: work, work, work and...
I can hardly recall what I did in these two months, other than working. One of our biggest customer was hit by a ransom-ware virus and their entire system was forced to go offline. I slept at 2am during the first few days. And I was working almost every weekends in July. My boss compensated me with 3 days off, but I guessed I wouldn't have the chance to use all of them. I think I was right.
It took our customer almost 2 months to have 99% recovery, But surprisingly, I managed to read 7 novels (all by Higashino Keigo) and watched 5 movies before their full recovery. And I cannot let by boss know this hahaha.
What's more
So you see, there will always be time, some just been wasted.
I'm happy to see that I didn't waste all of them, but probably I should work harder.
I wrote this because I started a topic in a WeChat group. But I hope i can write more.
Better late than never.
