About the spring festival

In china, there are many tradition festivals. Especially, the spring festival is my favorite festival. The spring festival starts January 1st on the lunar calendar and finishes on the 15th. It usually falls in January or February on the solar calendar. 

When I was a child, I desired the spring festival coming. Because, in the special festival, my parents not only gave me to buy new clothes, but also prepared for some delicious food, which couldn’t be eaten in normal times. More importantly, during the Spring festival, visiting my grandma was my happiest thing. Though my grandma was not rich, every year she gave me a red package including two RMB.

However, since my grandma died, I didn’t like to spend the spring festival in my family due to my parents’ bad relationship. I almost couldn’t feel the Spring festival’s atmosphere in my family. To be honest, I had not spent a happy spring festival with my parents for more than ten years before I became a Christian. As I mentioned in the previous article, I could not harmonize their contradiction until last year. In fact, my parents’ relationship recovery was not my ability, but relying on the Lord’s working. When I become a Christian, I always pray for my parents’ relationship every day. In my heart, I am moved very much that God has done many working in my life. Because of God’s blessing, I spent a happy spring festival this year.

In china, for the spring festival, it is the time for the whole family to get together to make dumplings, go to visit the Temple, fair and watch the fireworks. For me, I only expect I can make dumplings with my parents every year and enjoy the delicious food together. In addition, it is a best grace that I can talk with them. So, to realize my dream, I will depend on the Lord’s love and walk on the way of God’s rules. So long as I live in Christ’s love, the Lord shall hear my prayers, so that the Holy spirit control and empower my daily life. Everything will be smooth.

As the scriptures l learned this morning, Matthew7:24 “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” The Lord is God, who I only rely on forever. I believe that I shall have better times with my parents in the future for spending every spring festival. Praise God.
