  They were about to leave the dormitory that evening when neville appeared to stop them. But hermione petrified him. They got tangled up in devil's snare at the end of the day, but hermione had taken herbology seriously enough to save RON. When they entered the other door, they saw many birds' keys. Harry mounted his broom and began chasing after the old key that opened the door. Open the door and inside there is a chessboard. You have to go through wizard chess and win to get past that door. RON sacrificed himself to win the game, and harry went through the other door alone. Hermione stayed behind to take care of RON and send a letter to dumbledore. Harry went down and saw professor quirrell and knew he had done all this. Voldemort was also parasitic on him. Voldemort wanted the philosopher's stone in harry's pocket, but as soon as harry touched professor quirrell, his body would turn to ashes. After professor rocky's death, voldemort created smoke that went through harry's body. Made harry faint.
