承认是一种很好的态度

今天只读了Chapter12 all problems are interpersonal relationship（人际关系） problems. 那是如何来引出这个章节的呢？

青年有很多问题（是我们每个人的缩影），比如他总是找他自己的缺点，不喜欢他自己，成为了一个不想进入到任何人际关系里面的一个人，把自己关在自己的壳子里面，不和任何人联系。这些话是哲学家给他分析出来的，最后，青年说，这是正确的，I don't want to get hurt in interpersonal relationships. I'm terrified（很害怕的） of being snubbed（冷落，斥责） for who I am.

但是哲学家夸赞他说 Admitting is a good attitude. （承认是一种很好的态度） don't forget，it’s basically impossible to not get hurt in your relations with other people. 对的，就像我们一样，以家庭关系作为举例，我们总是把最不好的脾气发泄到最爱的人身上，受伤的是彼此。当然We can't do without Interpersonal relationship ，Living completely separate from other is ，in principle， impossible. 然后这个青年又提出了一些问题，Human being have loftier（lofty的比较级 高的） greater problems than things like interpersonal relationships. 什么是快乐，什么是自由，什么是生活的意义？ Aren’t these the themes that philosopher have been investigating（深入细致的调查） ever since the ancient Greeks.
