                                                     Tasting raspberries

After work today, I took the boys to the park and we passed a raspberry tree. Black juicy raspberries kept falling off the tree with gentle breeze blew through the branches. The little berries dyed little black red dots on the ground. Grew up in the village, I of course know how delicious raspberries can be. I could not helping picking up one raspberry and tasting it. The kids tentatively followed my gesture and they all exclaimed about this wonderful discovery of the fruit the park offered us.

On the way home, I climbed onto the iron railings and snapped off one branch which was full of raspberries. The kids were so happy about the experience of picking fruit from a tree. I was also happy about being able to bring this simple happiness to children.

                                                  Buying a durian

We headed for the supermarket hoping to buy some raspberries. However, there were no raspberries. We ended up taking half a watermelon, some bananas, some pears and a durian.

I used to believe I should never buy durian. First of all, it is high in sugar and have some other unfriendly side effects. The second equally important reason is that it is too expensive. I didn't not want to spend so much money on a fruit! But today, I decided to take one durian home. I picked one with cracks which indicate it was ripe and good.

Half a year ago, I would never imagine myself picking up fruit on the ground and pulling branches to picking fruits. Also I could not vision myself buying a durian for myself. These unexpected changes may come down to the changes of my mindset. Gradually, I have come to realize the importance of listening to myself, respecting my own wants and desires, letting go of things. Do not be too rigid. Life is too short to be rigid.
