Seating at the foot of the mountain ranges, this barn-converted house manifests itself from the crowds of firs behind it by its modern interior.

This interesting building has a barn-like exterior with a base reconstructed in exposed concrete and a balcony and decks in three conjoint sides of the house. What's most fascinating externally is the design of the balcony and desks. For the two opposite rectangle sides, the desks are screened off with horizontal bars from floor to roof. Weird as it is, one side of the balcony is left open while the other side connected with the conjoint side closely. You can only tell that it's an odd barn from outside but the internal structure will change your mind.

The separation from the external structure enables the variable spatial mix to be built through open half-story's communicating with one another, thus forming a single open space with differences in level. The private residential areas like bedroom and office are made in the upper part of the house, above the living areas and kitchen. The internal skin is created by oak panels, providing a soothing environment close to the nature. French windows can be seen everywhere in the living areas, enabling the sunshine to warm the house as fully as possible. The decorations within the house are mainly made by grass and cloth-made materials, giving a transition from the external natural environment to the modern electrical products inside the building.

When the night falls, the warm orange light exuded from this house will confuse the strayers, making them wonder what kind of building it is-- a barn or a villa?
