  It is commonly believed that honesty, as a significant trait, plays a major role in maintaining mutual-trust relationship. As far as I am concerned, in interpersonal communication, there are two benefits that sincerity can take for you as long as you are in good faith.

  On the one hand, honesty is not only a kind of self-esteem, but also can win respect for us. That is because treating people with integrity is our moral code, which requires heartiness to be a part of etiquette, measuring our moral standards. In other words, provided that people who were obsessed with making profit, they would lose the respect and damage their own reputation.

  On the other hand, trust is based on both sides being honest with each other. That is especially true that people who are fair and upright are more welcomed than dishonest one. In other words, while making friends with others sincerely, we are building mutual-trust foundation. Only in this way can we get more real friends, who are not in a position to deceive us.

  From what has mentioned above, for my part, honesty can bring us both respect and trust in our communication. Hence, keep in mind the profound proverb “ Honesty is the best policy”.
