简单英语语法 7－形容词

形容词用来修饰名词。

A pretty girl
Red flowers
A long stick
Heavy boxes
Warm weather

通常，形容词的反义词，可以在前面加 un, in, dis。

• clear - unclear, important - unimportant, predictable - unpredictable, believable - unbelievable, common - uncommon, aware - unaware, ambiguous - unambiguous, conventional - unconventional, certain - uncertain
• definite - indefinite, correct - incorrect, comparable - incomparable, complete - incomplete, evitable - inevitable, expensive - inexpensive
• able - disable, assemble - disassemble, content - discontent, similar - dissimilar

当有多个形容词修饰同一个名词时，形容词出现的顺序应该是：size/shape + age + color + origin + material

A big brown house
A small old English desk
A beautiful black Italian leather purse
Delicious Chinese food

The + 形容词 表示一组或一类人。

the old, the young, the poor, the rich, the homeless, etc.
This popular TV show is loved by the old.
