比起broke要来的地道。

…is not as … as I thought 这个句型，可以换成比如“编程没我想的那么有趣”、“这部电影没我想的那么精彩”等等，这样是不是觉得很好用呀。
4.Remember to make sure (that) all the doors are locked.
当你要嘱咐什么事的时候就可以这样说，that 后面随意发挥。
5.There's nothing fun to do around here.
比如可以想想反义，many interesting things to do。
6.She would rather drive than take the train.
would rather do ... than do ...
