Self-Introduction

Good afternoon, my name is Wu Shuming. I come from Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, and major in Business English.

In my introduction, there are three aspects I want to communicate.

First, my working experiences with children. Two years ago in summer, I went to Shanghai and found myself a job as an English assistant. I mainly taught children how to pronounce English words and led them to read English aloud. One year ago in summer, in Nanchang, I volunteered to be an outdoor coach with teenagers. As a coach, my responsibility was to make my students realize their responsibilities in a team and guide them take it. These experiences give me chances to get along with children, and also open the door for me to the cause of education.

Second, my foremost hobbies. I am so crazy about reading classics of all kinds that I tend to indulge myself in books for a whole day if I were on my days off. As for English novels, I have read fourteen books in the past one year. Besides reading, I also like writing in English or Chinese to express my opinion or feelings. I have found that language learning interests me so much: as I am eager to perfect my Chinese and English, I also started learning Japanese and find that it’s a lovely, interesting language.

Third, my future prospect. I know clearly that I am short of experiences like standing on the platform, but I believe, through months of training and practice, I can grow to be an excellent teacher. In addition, I have a dream to study abroad in Britain, so in the coming years of work, I will keep studying to make it.
