Love～Jane Eyre

      Jane Eyre was the protagonist of a novel called “Jane Eyre” which was written by a British female author Charlotte Bronte.She wants to show us that women could also have dignity and Freedom and equality.And Jane’s true image of love life were just like hers.

      Jane Eyre has a poor and disrespected youth hood.She became orphan when she was little cause her parents were both dead.And she was also left out in Lowood Private school.But she get a wide and rich world from book.Also with the influence from her parents(Spiritual talent) and the help of her teacher Mrs.Tambor and her friends Helen(help、guidance),she became a passionate, imaginative and persistent spiritual person.At the age of 18,she went to Thornfield Manor as a governess.During this period, She gradually fell in love with Rochester through a series of encounters and exchanges with him.

      This was the part that made me amazed—her love story.But could Jane Eyre get love smoothly?Obviously,no.She even left Rochester for a wile.Then what made she return?And How has she changed?

      The reason she left Rochester has four reason.First,British law at that time did not allow bigamy.And accordingly,divorce was not allowed.So she cannot be Rochester's lawful wife.Therefore,she chose her own independence in order not to fall into the confusion of her identity.Even if Jane Eyre really loves Rochester very much and have a lot of spiritual and conceptual agreement.

      Second,she doesn't want to be controlled by others like in her childhood.Jane has been lack of love since childhood,and she yearns for a kind of "attachment" and protection.She has never been protected by authority since she was young.So,even when she met deep love in real,she could not believe that she was worthy of being loved.

      Third,Jane Eyre is a person with strong self-esteem.Rochester said that “You have no friends and relatives,living with me is no big deal”.But Jane said that the more I have no friends and relatives,the more helpless I am,the more I have to respect/care myself.To be a mistress of a man with a wife will undoubtedly make her lose dignity.

      Fourth, in fact, Rochester and Jane Eyre are "Byron" people,having passion and pride in their hearts and living similar life types.For Rochester,it was very rare to know and love Jane deeply at that time.But actually the estrangement of status was "valued" by people.However,problem came from their different perceptions.From Rochester's words, such as "spoils of war" and "goblins",we can know that Jane may still be regarded as a vassal by Rochester.It also shows that he is still controlled by traditional concepts involuntarily.He thinks that my wife needs to be a beauty,but Jane Eyre thinks simplicity is the best.Jane once said:Do you think,because I am poor,obscure,plain and little,I am soulless and heartless?You think wrong!I have as much as soul as you—and full as much heart!

      That’s why Jane left Rochester.

      And what made her came back?Why did Jane Eyre finally accept this relationship?That’s because she had know more about herself through the associated with a minister named St•John at Swamp Villa.Actually John was her cousin.after Jane’s uncle John Eyre died,St Johns hoped that Jane could married him and went to India to finish his great religious mission(as a Christian).So here’s the the point:Both of them had different views of marriage.In John’s opinion,love was obedient of faith,marriage was served for those big dreams.Also he said “my wife is dedicated to God and career as an assistant”.In this way,we may became numb through such a “big” dream.The uniqueness of people has disappeared.In Jane’s opinion,marriage is the crystallization of love and the coincidence of the hearts of both parties.So the Happiness will come in the mutual promise and connect of two souls

      But what about Rochester?Yes,Both of them have passion and pride.Their two were both on the “fire” side,and it was full of vitality and benevolence.So those different perceptions and values had disappeared.Now,Jane want get back for her real love.I think this sentence can suit marriage:I like the one who is with you.This is “I can present the real me in front of my true love”.No need to hide and nervous.Get alone easily and naturally make natural love.Obviously,Jane figure it out.

      Finally, the arrival of Jane Eyre rekindles Rochester's hope for life, and at the same time,she is no longer depressed.Jane also accepts this relationship and happily acts as Rochester’s right hand. Later in life,Rochester recovered one eye under the treatment of a doctor,and the two were married and lived a happy life.

      So what can we learn from Jane Eyre?I think she represents the image of a new woman with self-respect,self-reliance,self-improvement,and has firm ideal and persistent pursuit of her own personality and life.She was dare to pursuit Spiritual freedom and honor.She gave female a good example and diatribe the stereotype of women in that era.Her quality of self-improvement is worth pursuing by all of us.This is also the key to shaping us as great person！
