Many parents formed an unrealistic picture about rearing a child. They frequently imgained their children to be a sort of genius who is able to learn and memorize anything.  Their children will be brilliant and smart.  All achievements will come one after another and you dont have to work much. The other side of the picture could be quite the  opposite. Their children could be retarded and obscure. They may grow up no more than a ordinary people, showing no special talents and cababilties. Maybe there is an element of truth in both of the picutures, but only time could tell it.
