有人说，只要你去听，你每天都会学到新东西。

There's a story about a Native American walking in New York City with a friend. The streets were filled with people and cars were honking.

一个印第安人和朋友在纽约散步，街上人潮涌动，车水马龙。

All of a sudden the Native American said, "I hear a cricket."

突然，这个印第安人说道，“我听见了蟋蟀声。”

His friend responded, "Are you crazy? You couldn't possibly hear a cricket in all this noise."

他的朋友回他，“你疯了吗？在这种噪音里你不可能听见蟋蟀的声音。”

The Native American walked across the street to a bush and found the cricket.

印第安人穿过街道，在灌木丛里找到了这只蟋蟀。

“That’s incredible,” his friend said. “You must have superhuman ears!”

“这真难以置信，”他朋友说，“你一定有一对顺风耳！”

“No,” the Native American said. “My ears are no different from yours. It all depends on what you’re listening for.”

“不，”印第安人说。“我的耳朵和你没什么区别。这都取决于你在听什么。”

He reached into his pocket, pulled out a few coins, and discreetly dropped them on the sidewalk.

他把手伸进口袋里，掏出了几枚硬币，小心地把它们丢在了地上。

Even with all the noise of the city people's heads turned to see if the money was theirs.

虽然城市里噪声起伏，但是人们都把头回过来，看钱是不是他们的。

What we hear depends on what's important to us.

我们能听见什么取决于你认为什么最重要。

Our Bible verse says, "Ears that hear and eyes that see-- the LORD has made them both." Proverbs 20:12.

《圣经》箴言20章写道，“能听的耳，能看的眼，都是耶和华所造的。”

What do we hear? The LORD has given us ears and eyes. 

我们听见什么？上帝已经给了我们耳朵和眼睛。

We can learn something new every day if we will look and listen.

如果我们去看去倾听，每天我们都能有发现。
