FIVE RULES FOR BETTER PRESENTATIONS (Short Form)

Rule #1: Don’t give your presentation software center stage.

·You are the presenter.

· You should be the focus.

· Not your slides.

· Not your props.

· Not your handouts.

Rule #2: Create a logical flow to your presentation.

· If people understand where you are going to take them, they can relax and enjoy the ride.

Rule #3: Make your presentation readable.

· Memorize this sentence.

· 30-point type.

· You must test your PPT.（Following Points）

1.Avoid paragraphs or long blocks of text.

2. Use an excerpt—a couple of sentences.

3. Emphasize the important words.

4. Put the text block by itself on a single slide.

5.Use appropriate fonts.

6.Avoid detailed reports.

7.Avoid “title capitalization” unless it’s a title.

法则#3：让你的演讲有可读性

· 记住这句话.

· 大概30分钟.

· 你必须先过一遍你的PPT.（以下几点）

1 避免长篇大论.

2 使用摘录---大概两句话.

3 强调关键点.

4 把文本段落单独放在一页.

Rule #4: Remember, less is more.

· Fancy slide transitions and fly-ins get old quickly.

· Keep things simple.

· Have all your bullets appear at once rather than one at a time.

· Avoid sound effects.

· And finally, cut down the number of slides

· 人们对花哨的幻灯片转场效果的好奇不会很长.
