Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's
Chapter 5 Diagon Alley
This chapter mainly described the experience of Harry (dizzying in the feeling of blessedness) on touring around Gringotts (Wizards’ bank, run by goblins) and Diagon Alley under the guidance of Hagrid and prepared everything needed for the school's opening.
Harry never felt so famous that everyone in the Leaky Cauldron desired to shake hands with him.The funny trip broadened his vision of the wizard world and the notion of magic.
Although Hagrid was expelled from Hogwarts for violating the rules as a scapegoat,Dumbledore still fully trusted and delegated him important missions such as fetching Harry and getting things from Gringotts.
The You-Know-What in vault seven hundred and thirteen guarded by dragons and several anti-theft tricks where Hagrid got "a grubby little package wrapped up in brown paper" which I guess might be a Horcrux---Voldermort used it for rebirth.
Griphook, the goblin lead Harry and Hagrid to the vaults needed, was an critical character in the later scenario of helping Harry to steal Horcrux.
Class contraditions bewteen pure wizards and Muggle-born wizards, among wizards, elfs and goblins are the fuse of turmoil. The attitude and aim of J.K.Rowling is to break the prejudice and to establish a harmonious word.
Professor Quirrell, the teacher of Agaist the Dark Arts, was the key protagonist in first serie of the Sorcerer's Stone. He was the servant of Voldermort and sold his body and soul to him,but perished in the end.
Cornelius Fudge,a Ministry of Magic, was hypocrisy and didnot brave challenge and change. When the world was in the turmoil,he chose to turn a deaf ear to the truth and messed things up.
Bathilda Bagshot, author of A History of Magic, was also an important role in revealing the truth and lies of Albus Dumbledore and implicitly telling us the fact that "Every man has his fault",so did the Headmaster Dumbledore do.
Ollivanders, wand dealer ,was erudite in the features of wand and was good at memorizing anyone who had bought wands from him.He emphasized the notion "the wand chooses the wizard" and regreted having sold a powerful wand to Voldermort. However ,the materials of the wand which choosed Harry as a hoster was competitively the same as the Voldermort's.Destiny was set to foreshadow the final confrontation between Harry and Voldermort.
Finally, let's enjoy the poem in the Gringotts:
Enter, stranger, but take heed
Of what awaits the sin of greed,
For those who take, but do not earn,
Must pay most dearly in their turn.
So if you seek beneath our floors
A treasure that was never yours,
Thief, you have been warned, beware
Of finding more than treasure there.
