43 A temple for God
God made Solomon rich as well as wise. Solomon began to build a splendid home for God – the temple. Thousands of builders got busy with fine wood and huge stones. Inside, in God’s special room, even the floor was paved with gold! Finally it was finished. Everyone celebrated. God promised to listen to his people when they prayed to him there.
